From Professional To Network Marketer; Day 2: Marketing by Michael Smith

If Day One is the day you made yur choice to change careers then Day Two is the day you start marketing. There are many marketing strategies that you can use in your network marketing business. You need an online presence because there is so much traffic on the Internet. The traditional methods still apply today because you have to get out in the world. Putting a sign on your car, making drop cards and sharing your choice will force your to overcome your stereotype you have of network marketing and get your "face" out in public. Like branding your former company, now you are branding who and what you are. Your team is out there waiting for you lead the way, don't let them down.

A big step will be putting a sign on your automobile. Your advertisement in the past was your work. Your education and license set you apart. You may think your presence is your calling card. Advertising your opportuity with a car sign is not something you are use to doing. New ideas and forms of advertising are needed. You will be publically announcing to the world that you are making a change. This is important in your development. Having a sign on your vehicle will present the opportunity to discuss your why you made the change. Also why you are telling people why you switch careers, you can present your opportunity. Not everyone will understand your move but that is part of being a leader. Focus on your results and let that demonstrate to others why you changed. The key point is your message is getting out there in one more form that is very inexpensive way. Your opportunity is being presented to the world for around 70 bucks and you do not have to maintain it of pay a monthly fee. The only drawback is you need to be nicer driving your car; you do not want to cut off your next prospect.
You will have two business cards in your wallet at all times. Your regular business may not be used as often as the next type of card. Of course your business card is what people you meet expect you to give them. Business cards represent stable and a permenance about your opportunity. A Drop Card is your second card you will use. You ask, "What is a drop card?" Its ok I didn't know when I first started. Your may have used leave behinds in your previous worklife. The drop card, has your opprtunity on the back, is dropped for anybody to pick it up. people will look down and pick it up becuase it looks like a 100 bucks. You use them wherever there are people around. Be creative and consistent where you drop them. What would you do if you found a drop card you didn't wan't? You would throw it down and it would be there for the next persoon to pick-up a 100 dollar bill. It the circle of life thing from the "Lion King"
Sharing with your family and friends is natural. Do not go out and get in there face telling them that they have to sign up right now. Look what you went through to make your decision to join network marketing. Wait for them to come and ask you what you are doing. Your family and friends will notice the car sign and ask you, "What's that all about". This will give you the opening to discuss the opportunity and why you decided to switch to a new profession. You willnot have to start the conversation. Sharing your experience is all you want to do at this time. Your results will attract more people to you. This is your informal marketing campaign. You talk about your opportunity and then you wait to bring people in after you start to succeed.

You have a new skin (network marketing) that you need to get comfortable with. Developing your approach and story will require practice and patience. Your marketing campaigns that you use will require the same kind of time. As Nike say, "Just Do It". Your job will be to know wht you are selling. You will be prepared to talk to the world about it. By the 20th time you will feel better and you might even have someone signed up by then.
