Have Fun This Winter With K2 Burnin Luv Skis by Tyler Branson
I have used the K2 Burnin Luv Skis for a while now, and I have to say they are among the best out there. They are part of Tnine's product line for women who are into high performance skiing. They perform particularly well on fast well groomed runs designed to make things interesting. Definitely worth checking out.
When, I grew out of the One Luvs a couple of years ago I was looking for a zippy performance ski that was stable at high speeds, had good grip on ice and loved turning. It had had to be able to efficiently ski different kinds of terrain in different sorts of conditions. I tried out several high end technical skis from top brands but once I rode the Burnin Luvs I was sold. I enjoyed the others but they didn't compare, for me, with the Burnin Luvs which excelled in all the areas that I found important.
During the winters my family lives and works at a ski resort that has a lot of hard pack and icy conditions. Sometimes we do get powder but it often gets icy and choppy quickly. Fast on steep groomers is my favorite style of skiing and I find the K2 Burnin Luv skis responsive and stable with great edge control and precision. They handle high speeds, ice and crud with ease.
Their turning ability is amazing. I feel that the way they transition from extended carved turns to short snappy ones is one of their major strengths. The beginning of turn is quite intuitive and they have an energetic turn conclusion. This is something that took me a couple of runs to get used to but once mastered it is an incredible feeling.
They do not have as wide a waist as other skis I have tried but they work remarkably well for the amount of fresh powder we usually get around here. I would buy a second pair of specialized skis if I lived at an area with lots of fresh powder.
The only thing I don't like about the K2 Burnin Luv skis is the graphics. They handle well while transitioning from long curves to sharp turns in which you can tell how superior they are to the competition. I love these skis so much though, that I don't even consider the aesthetics and, as I said, it is my personal opinion. I know many others who think they look great. All I care about is that they are a magnificent ride.
