Camel Safari is the ultimate way to sample desert life, explore small villages and see the true grandeur of Rajasthan. Meant for people who have a good fitness level and live an active life, camel rides can be as short as an hour or can stretch up to several weeks, as desired. Riding a camel is not a great endurance test but is not very easy too.
Rajasthan is after-all the bastion of desert thrill and adventure. It culminates with safaris in desert, sand bashing, camel cart ride and stay in camps in midst of desert dunes. The entire Rajasthan actually seem to unleash adventure as every niche of Thar Desert is a perfect place for adventurous activities.
Man made and natural lakes are plenty in an otherwise water scarce land of Rajasthan. These lakes are ideal for variety of water adventures such as swimming, boating, water skiing, angling and fishing. Angling is the most popular of all the water sports in Rajasthan, some of the well known angling sites are Bandh Baretha in Bharatpur, Mansarover near Sariska, Siliserh and Jaisamand in Alwar and Kukas, Chhaparwara and Ramgarh in Jaipur.
The Sahara Desert holds the distinction of being virtually as large in size as the continental United States. Its historical roots date back over 3 millions years ago and present day measures sand dunes at least 600 feet in height.
Dune bashing is often called the 'white water rafting of the desert' and it's a very popular sport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Don't get worried by the name. Dune bashing isn't some bizarre violent activity, but a serious adventure sport, which involves driving flashy cars/ bikes/ buggies into the open desert and having some serious fun climbing up and down the mountain- sized sand dunes.
Rajasthan has some of the best wildlife sanctuaries in India. While elephant safari is preferred to explore the inner regions which are difficult to reach by any vehicle, jeep safari is best for quick and easy wildlife viewing. Jeep safari is also used to explore the desert and is best for those who want to avoid the camel ride sickness.
Wildlife adventure can be one of the reason to visit India. Compared to wildlife of Africa, India's wildlife is not properly covered by world media. Numerous animal reserves, rain forests, national parks and wildlife and bird sanctuaries make India an ideal destination for wildlife adventure.
A zone with more than 300 cleared days a year that have made possible the installation of astronomical centers of world-wide reputation, as the Observatory Paranal, and Tololo Hill, and recently, a basic observatory in the city of Vicuña, the Mamalluca.

Most popular adventure activities here are trekking, camping, mountaineering and river rafting. And of course, do not forget to visit the ancient Buddhist monasteries here.
